Services

With over 10 years of dedicated experience in sports therapy, I pride myself on offering a comprehensive, evidence-based approach tailored to meet your unique needs. Whether you're seeking relief from everyday aches or an elite athlete striving to enhance performance, my multi-modal strategies are designed to address your specific challenges. I blend advanced techniques and knowledge to develop a personalised plan of action that promotes recovery, manages pain, improves function, and optimises well-being.

Sports Therapy

Sports therapy targets injuries specific to athletic activities, recognising that the physical strain from sports differs from general muscle and joint issues. As a sports therapist, I offer specialised support to help athletes recover from sports-related injuries and provide education on function and performance.

Dry Needling

Dry needling, is a treatment that implements single-use sterile acupuncture needles which are inserted into the intended structure. This can help support nervous system sensitisation, muscle recovery and functional movements. This form of treatment is effective at reducing pain and other pain disorders and can be used at various stages of peoples recovery.

Remedial Massage/Sports Massage

Massage is widely recognised for its ability to relieve muscle tension and pain, as well as enhance joint mobility. By interacting with the nervous system, massage can alter the brain's perception of pain signals. It can also help prepare the body for exercise. Massage involves applying pressure, tension, motion, or vibration to the body using hands, fingers, elbows, forearms, or medically approved tools. It can be combined with other therapies to address pain and promote long-term well-being, or used as a standalone treatment to achieve specific results.

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy works with the bones, joints, nerves, and muscles to aid in your recovery from injury, alleviate pain and stiffness, and enhance strength and mobility. Following a thorough assessment, I use a range of techniques such as joint mobilisations, trigger point release, dry needling, and remedial massage to support your recovery. These evidence-based methods are suitable for everyone, from regular gym-goers to daily dog walkers, and are designed to boost your confidence in movement and facilitate a return to an active lifestyle.

Injury Focussed Rehab/Strength & Conditioning

Rehab/Strength & Conditioning offers a targeted approach to physical therapy for individuals of all ages dealing with dysfunction, pain, injury, or illness. By utilising exercise, fundamental movement, and varous interventions, rehab supports the maintenance of health and fitness while promoting overall well-being through a multi-modal approach. Working with a practitioner in guided rehab/S&C can enhance your confidence, ensure effective strengthening, and achieve successful progressions in your recovery journey.

Functional Release Cupping

Functional release cupping is an advanced technique that combines traditional cupping therapy with a focus on improving functional movement and addressing specific physical issues. By applying cups to targeted areas and integrating movement assessments and exercises, this method aims to work with the fascia, enhance mobility, reduce pain, and support overall body function. Ideal for those seeking both relief and functional improvement, functional release cupping helps optimise physical performance and promotes effective rehabilitation.
